Springboro native Jake Ballard played tight end for the Buckeyes and may be best remembered for his acrobatic catch in a critical drive during the 2010 Rose Bowl against Oregon.  He also earned a ring as a member of the World Champion New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI

Layne Dreven – Ohio State Volleyball

Layne was a middle hitter for the Ohio State Men’s Volleyball Team from 2004-2007.  Layne had the top hitting percentage in the country much of his senior season.  During his career he earned academic honors from Ohio State, The Big Ten, and the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.

Stanley Jackson – Ohio State Football / 610 WTVN / Big Ten Network

            Stanley was a quarterback and captain for Ohio State, playing on the #2 ranked Buckeye team that defeated Arizona in the 1997 Rose Bowl. He currently serves as a football analyst for 610 WTVN and the Big Ten Network.

Jim Karsatos – Ohio State / Miami Dolphins

Jim played quarterback for the Buckeyes.  He was 2nd Team All Big Ten and Team MVP in 1985 and Team Captain in 1986.  He was the first quarterback in Ohio State history to throw for 2,000 yards in 2 consecutive seasons.  He played with the Miami Dolphins in 1987 and 1988.

Ike Kelley – Ohio State / Philadelphia Eagles

Ike was Ohio State’s first Consensus All-American Linebacker, winning the honor in 1964 and 1965.  As a senior, he was co-captain, an honor he also received while playing with the Philadelphia Eagles during a seven-year career in the NFL.

Jeff Logan – Ohio State Football

As a Buckeye tailback from 1974-1977, Jeff was a member of 4 Big Ten Champion Teams.  As a sophomore backup to Archie Griffin in 1975, he averaged 7.9 yards per carry.  In 1976 he burst out of Griffin’s shadow with 1292 yards.   He was All Big Ten First Team and an Academic All-American in 1977.

Dave Maetzold – Fox Sports Ohio / 610 WTVN

Long-time Columbus sports media personality Dave Maetzold can be heard on 610 WTVN and is currently the rink side reporter for Columbus Blue Jackets broadcasts on Fox Sports Ohio.  He also served as the emcee of last year’s dinner program.

Rick has the distinction of being Fred Taylor’s last recruit at Ohio State.  The 1979 Buckeye co-captain also received the John Havlicek award, which recognizes the team’s Most Inspirational Player.

Phil Strickland – Ohio State Football

Phil was a linebacker for the Buckeyes from 1968-1970, earning All-Big Ten Honors.  A U.S. Navy Veteran, Phil served as honorary co-captain at the Ohio State vs. Navy game in 2009.

                James “Satch” Sullinger – Former Northland High School Basketball Coach

Satch was a head coach at 5 different high schools in Columbus during a 30-year career.  He won 5 straight Columbus City League titles and a State Championship at Northland High School.  In 2010 he was the Naismith National High School Coach of the Year.

Matt Terwilliger – Ohio State Basketball

Matt is from Troy, Ohio and played basketball for Ohio State from 2004-2008 and professionally in Europe.  He was a member of the 2007 NCAA Runner-Up Buckeye Team.

Terry White – Ohio State / KC Chiefs / Houston Oilers

Terry played defensive back for the Buckeyes from 1983-1986.  In a 4-year NFL career he played two years for the Kansas City Chiefs and two years for the Houston Oilers.

Michael Wiley – Ohio State / Dallas Cowboys

Michael played football for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 1996-1999, earning All-Big Ten honors in 1998. He ranks 10th in OSU history for all-purpose yardage and played three years in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys.

Tom Wood – NBC4i

Tom is the president of Wood Landscape Services Ltd., which was established in 1990.  From May 2012 through May of 2015 he was the gardening expert on NBC4 in Columbus.
